Overview
The Junior Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Consultant will be primarily managing implementations for, typically, SMB customers based on the instant, rapid and quick start packages. You will be managing the process from start to finish, being involved with sales, solution design through to implementation, testing and training. It is expected that projects you deliver:
- will meet customer requirements
- are delivered within timescale and budget
- are in keeping with industry best practices
Key Activities
Although the role of a junior consultant varies from project to project, an ideal candidate will be required to
- Take full ownership and responsibility for package-related SMB customers
- Manage the full SMB customer lifecycle from initial phone call to completion of project
- Deliver remote (and, where required on-site) training
- Create sales documents based on sales templates
- Customise Dynamics 365 within the bounds of the package purchased
- Assist with note taking for meetings and scoping sessions for non-SMB customers
- Build pre-defined scoped customisations for non-SMB customers
- Log project work accurately
- Manage customer expectations and project scope
- Identify new business opportunities
- Assist with support for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform issues raised by customers.
As with all Strategy 365 employees, consultants are expected to portray a professional, friendly and competent image of the company and its key partners and suppliers including, specifically, Microsoft. But below are some more in-depth points that we would like to see in a candidate.
Key Skills Required
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 core modules, including Sales, Marketing and Customer Service
- A working knowledge of the Power Platform and its components, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and Power Apps Portals
- Able to build effective relationships with clients, prospects, business partners and suppliers
- Able to work well both as part of a team and independently as required
- Able to customise Dynamics 365 Forms, Views, Workflows, Charts, and Dashboards
- An in-depth knowledge of Dynamics usage in web browsers, Microsoft Outlook, and mobile devices
- Able to perform data imports into Dynamics 365 from CSV/XLS files
- A working knowledge of integrated Microsoft technologies including, but not limited to, SharePoint and OneNote
Nice-to-Haves
- A good knowledge of non-core Microsoft Dynamics 365 apps, including Customer Voice, Field Service, Gamification, Project Service Automation, Portals and Dynamics 365 Marketing
- Related Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications
