Microsoft have announced an update to Dataverse storage entitlements, effective December 1st, 2025, benefitting organisations using Power Platform and Dynamics 365.
What has changed?
Base Storage Default Capacity Increases
For any organisation that has at least one Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages or Copilot Studio licence, the default database storage capacity granted has seen large increases:
- Power Apps Per User: Default database capacity has doubled from 10GB to 20GB
- Power Apps Premium: Default database capacity has doubled from 10GB to 20GB
- Power Apps Per App: Default database capacity increases from 5GB to 15GB
- Power Pages: Default database capacity (for both Authenticated and Unauthenticated) increases from 5GB to 15GB
- Copilot Studio: Default database capacity has increased from 5GB to 15GB

Dynamics 365 Default Capacity Increases
As with the Power Platform licences, Dynamics 365 licences have also seen increases in the default database storage capacity:
- Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service or Contact Center: Default capacity increases from 10GB to 30GB
- Dynamics 365 Customer Insights: Default capacity increases from 25GB to 45GB
Increased File storage for Dynamics 365 licences
In addition to the database storage updates, Microsoft have also announced an increase in the File storage for certain Dynamics 365 licences:
- Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service or Contact Center: File storage increases from 20GB to 40GB
- Dynamics 365 Customer Insights: File Storage increases from 40GB to 60GB

Do Existing Customers Benefit?
Yes – these changes apply to all existing customers. Your tenant’s storage will automatically update in the Power Platform Admin Center, with no action required.
