Errors in Dynamics 365’s Unified Interface when using Internet Explorer 11

Following the regular Windows updates released on February 12th, 2019, users of Internet Explorer 11 have started to experience issues within Dynamics 365, specifically with Apps using the Unified Interface.

What are the effects of this bug?

Users affected by this issue may experience blank pages within Dynamics 365 or be presented with an ‘Access Denied’ message.

When will the bug be fixed?

Microsoft plan to automatically roll out a fix for this issue as part of the next Windows ‘Patch Tuesday‘ updates.

What can I do in the meantime?

There are two options for users affected by this issue –

  1. Use an alternative web browser, such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
  2. Install the fix for the bug manually. Details of this can be found on the official Microsoft blog post regarding the bug.
