Following feedback from customers and Microsoft Partners, the Microsoft Power Apps Per App Plan has been reinstated.
Update 18/03/2026 – Microsoft have now confirmed in this post that the initial removal of the Per App SKU was not intended to apply to CSP customers, hence its reinstation. As there is no mention of Enterprise nor MPSA, it would appear that this SKU will no longer be available to new Enterprise and MPSA customers, but existing Enterprise customers will still be able to increase and renew licences.
What was the original announcement from Microsoft?
As we covered back in January, Microsoft had initially planned to phase out the Power Apps Per App Plan, with a view to users migrating to Premium, Pay-As-You-Go or Basic licences. However, as the Per App Plan had been an affordable entry point into the Power Apps ecosystem for many organisations, this move had been met with a lot of resistance.
What has changed?
As a result of the feedback from Partners and customers, Microsoft have updated their original announcement to say:
“Existing and new CSP customers will not be impacted. They can continue to purchase, use, and renew their Power Apps per app subscription. We are in the process of updating our price lists, and the SKU will be available for purchase again starting in early April.”
We anticipate that the Per App SKU will be reinstated with the same price and functionality as before, but should Microsoft revise any of these details in April, we will update our website accordingly. Microsoft have not updated the parts of the blog that referred to Enterprise and MPSA customers, so it’s not 100% clear yet as to whether the Power Apps Per App licence will be available to new customers on those agreements.

While January’s original announcement was a surprise to many customers and Microsoft Partners, it’s good to see that Microsoft have acknowledged the value of the Per App Plan and have reversed their initial decision.
