Our approach to Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Projects
The Problem
Experience has taught us that it's practically impossible to analyse a customer's requirements and then write the perfect requirements specification document or product backlog. There are several reasons for this.
Customers will often find it challenging to articulate what they need from a software solution until they have seen and started using the system. They will often come up with better ideas or change their minds once they have become more familiar with the software. It's also impossible for project stakeholders to maintain a constant set of requirements during the lifecycle of a typical software project. As a business adapts to changing market conditions, and as the technology itself evolves, the goalposts will often change, and therefore so will a customer's requirements and priorities.
And finally, it's really difficult for a business analyst to perfectly capture functionality that a project stakeholder verbally requests, into a written format. This is because written languages aren't sophisticated enough to capture the nuances of a person’s aspirations.

Introduction

This methodology takes the best elements from two of the most common agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban), and combines them with Microsoft’s agile SureStep methodology to create a proven set of techniques, enabling the delivery of efficient but effective solutions built on Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.
